## Who we are

Softball Chronicles (softballchronicles.com) is published by RegisterPlay. This page covers this site only. Questions: hello@softballchronicles.com.

## What we collect when you read

You do not need an account to read Softball Chronicles, and the site has no sign-up or forms. Softball Chronicles does not set cookies and does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting network may set a short-lived security cookie that blocks automated abuse; it is not used to follow you.

Like every website, our servers record each request: the page, the time, your IP address and your browser type. We use these records only to run and protect the site, and we keep them for a limited time.

## When you email us

If you report a mistake or write to us, we use your email address and message only to answer you and to correct the story. We do not add you to a mailing list.

## Names in stories

Stories are written from the official scores that tournament directors enter on RegisterPlay. They name teams, clubs and events. A player is named only when their RegisterPlay profile is public. A parent or guardian controls this setting for a child, and a child under 13 is named only with that consent. Turning the setting off keeps the name out of new stories.

To have a name taken out of a story that is already published, email hello@softballchronicles.com with the story's address. A director who hides an event from public listings on RegisterPlay also keeps it out of Softball Chronicles.

## Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Stories, and the links to them, are shared on our social media pages, where those sites' own privacy policies apply.

## Children

Softball Chronicles is read by families, but it does not collect personal information from children. It has no accounts, forms or comments.
